Boston bred, Georgia grown, and Seattle seduced; Patrick remains as footloose as his “military brat” childhood would deem but continues to rebound back to the San Juan Islands. In Georgia he attended both high school and college where he studied Biology and Ecology from the University of Georgia. While the rest of his comrades sidestepped into med school and pharmacy school, Patrick knew his calling lied in the great beyond. He began guiding in Charleston, SC where he navigated marshland in kayaks, went crabbing, cast netting, and paddle boarding. His next move was a road trip from the Holy City to San Juan Island. Captivated by the uncanny and immersive wilderness, he couldn’t seem to break free from the seasonal work in the archipelago. Since his pacific northwest debut, Patrick has wintered in both Hawai’i, and Alaska working on boats for vastly different professions. Now Patrick currently splits his time with kayaking and wildlife boat tours in the San Juans.

Hobbying is Patrick’s favorite hobby. Inclined to try anything at least once, he has dabbled in many professions at entry level. These days he spends time playing frisbee, hiking, messing around with photography/videography, and playing a guitar and electric drum set that he totes with him on his travels. Between seasons Patrick often migrates to areas that allow him to put to use some hobbies he picked up many years ago such as scuba diving, mountain biking, and snowboarding.
