Born in Snohomish, WA, Christina grew up mushroom picking, squid jigging, crabbing, traveling, backpacking, fishing, clamming, skiing, frog catching, climbing, and everything else outdoorsy. Christina made her way down to Orange, CA to attend Chapman University as a Business and Marketing major, a Leadership Studies minor, and in 2020 she will finish her Masters in Leadership Development. She spent the best months of her life in Dunedin, New Zealand studying at the University of Otago in 2018. She hitchhiked around the country every weekend and met lots of groovy birds. Soon Christina will travel back to New Zealand after seeing what the rest of world has to offer.
When not outdoors, Christina can be found brewing jun kombucha, harvesting oyster mushrooms, hammocking, and hopefully raising some crickets to grind into cricket flour as a sustainable protein. She strives to figure out creative ways to use food waste to help people experiencing food insecurity. Christina is stoked to be living on the islands this summer and can’t wait for new adventures!
